Seminar: How to plan for the 2026 WACK Studio Tour
Feeling overwhelmed or underprepared for the 2026 WACK Studio Tour? Interested in learning how to plan for and make a body of work to sell at the tour? Curious about what types of pots to make? Curious about how many pots to make? Curious about pricing?
This informational seminar is for artists who have applied but are new to the studio tour, or returning artists who are shaking things up for this year. We will meet on Sunday, July 12th at 3pm at Baker Creek Ceramics (4058 Hammer Drive) to talk strategy, planning, and organization for studio tours and sales events as a working artist.
First Friday with WACK
Join us on July 3th
Meet us for a casual walkabout of downtown Bellingham featuring stops at local gallery openings. Consider this a low stakes opportunity to mingle with fellow WACK members, explore downtown, admire artwork, and stretch your legs in some (hopefully) warm and sunny weather.
Plan to meet at outside Allied Arts at 6pm, migrating to the next stop by 6:20pm or so. Look for Mason wearing a festively patterned shirt. This month’s gallery highlights include the Salish Sea and sea creatures. See y'all soon!

2026 Studio Tour information session/Pottery photography workshop
Interested in applying to the 2026 WACK Studio Tour?
If this is your first year applying, you aren't sure what you need to apply, or you aren't sure whether or not you want to apply, we are hosting an informational session for you to ask your questions at Baker Creek Ceramics (4058 Hammer Drive) on June 14th at 3 p.m.
In response to your helpful feedback about last year's tour, the focus of this session will be how to take photographs for the application that can be used for promotion and for the website/tour map. We will have photo boxes available for you to take professional photos if you do not have one available to you.
Optional: bring pottery that you’d like to photograph for the studio tour application.

Bianca MacPherson Artist Talk/Demo
Join us for a Friday night discussion and demonstration with Bianca MacPherson, one of NCECA’s 2026 Emerging Artists and current artist in residence at the American Museum of Ceramic Art. She’ll share insights into her life, work, and approaches to abstraction, discussing how she distills two-dimensional photographic archives into mirrored forms that occupy both psychological and physical spaces. Learn about structural integrity, her coil technique, working with negative space, and more. Pick up some of her best tips and tricks for making work and building your own symbology.
