After Ann left Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, she worked as a freelance designer for dozens of magazines from The Wall Street Journal to Rolling Stone, and in the eighties and nineties, became known as one of the two foremost type and logo designers in the U.S. Her logos can still be seen on Time, Esquire and Fast Company. She began working with clay in upstate NY in 2013 and continued when she moved to Bellingham in 2018, studying at Baker Creek, Jansen, and Burnish pottery studios. Her aim: “To populate the world with beautiful things”
